How confident do you feel about your ability to identify claims in a text? What was the easiest part of today's activity, and what did you find challenging? Explain how today's lesson helped you better understand the difference between a claim and other statements an author might make.

I am very confident in my ability to identify a claim in a text. I have various experience identifying claims in my English classes through the years. The easiest part of today's activity was creating the counter claims. Today's assignment helped me with identify claims faster and interpreting them better.

Today in class we were given an assignment where we had to identify claims. After identify these claims we had to create a counter argument for them.

I can use these skills I learned today in my future English classes. When I have to write a argumentative essay I will apply these skills.
