Prompt: If you could change one rule at school, at home, or in society, what would it be? Using a claim of policy, make an argument for why that rule should change, using at least two reasons to support your claim.

One rule at school I would change is the blocking policy. Our school has blocked so much unnecessary apps that even the teachers complain about it. Today my AP Psychology teacher was even venting to us about it and how its so dumb. This is the one rule I would change in our school.

Today in class we continued learning about argumentative writing and counter arguments. It was a very educational day for me and I learned a lot.

I can reflect on the information I learned today but use it in my life everyday. You use argumentative principles every day in different ways.

Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

In “Because I could not stop for Death,” Emily Dickinson presents life as a journey that eventually comes to an end. What experiences in your life have reminded you that time moves quickly? How have those experiences affected the way you value your time?

In Part I of A Rose for Emily, Emily’s house stands out from the community and reflects both her past and the changes happening around her.
