Today, your group had to work together to earn 100% on the “A Worn Path” assessment or write an essay. How did this challenge affect the way your group discussed the story and made decisions? What did you learn from the experience?

Today during our assignment we had to make sure and go over our answer multiple times to make sure we had the right answer. This helped me build teamwork and develop the process of elimination skill. Our group discussed the questions paying attention to detail very closely rather than speeding through the test. The test grade having something on the line like writing an essay made us all come together and work harder.

Today in class we had to take a test with our group and get a complete 100 percent. If we did not get a hundred percent we would have to write a personal essay.

I can reflect on the assignment today by using the process of elimination on my future test. The process of elimination can allow me to improve the scores on my test helping me in my future.

In “Because I could not stop for Death,” Emily Dickinson presents life as a journey that eventually comes to an end. What experiences in your life have reminded you that time moves quickly? How have those experiences affected the way you value your time?

In Part I of A Rose for Emily, Emily’s house stands out from the community and reflects both her past and the changes happening around her. Think about a house, building, or place that holds special memories for you. What does that place look like, what memories do you connect with it, and what does it represent to you?
